Shutdown Showdown! Congress Back & Broke (Again?!) π
Honey, buckle up, because the dolls in D.C. are back in session, and the drama is thicker than a RuPaul roast! A potential government shutdown is looming, and letβs be honest, the last thing we need is our access to PrEP and queer-affirming healthcare jeopardized. Priorities, people! Meanwhile, China's getting ready for a military parade that's giving major "don't come for us" energy, but all we can think about is how their outfits could use a little more sparkle. Someone get these queens some glitter cannons, stat!
This whole government shutdown thing is giving us anxiety. Like, we just want to live our lives, pursue our dreams, and slay the game without worrying about whether our basic rights are going to be snatched away. Itβs exhausting, and frankly, not a cute look. Weβre calling on our elected officials to get their act together, compromise like mature adults, and fund the government like the responsible public servants theyβre supposed to be. Weβre watching you, and we vote. Don't even think about coming for our hard-earned rights.
Glimmer Glam (she/her), glitter enthusiast: "This shutdown is stressing me out! How am I supposed to serve face if my healthcare is in jeopardy?"
Crystal Carrington (they/them), community organizer: "The government needs to get it together. We need resources, not restrictions!"
"Our community deserves stability and support, not political games," says Mx. Elektra Abundance (they/them), Executive Director of the Center for Glitter and Justice.
